As a voice, Cassatt brings a multishaded warmth and sincerity that can adapt to myriad contexts. Her cultivated attunement to script lends a natural companion to the narrative at hand. She likes to explore tonal particularities of the voice—be they familiar, refined, sensuous, or effervescent—and the gradations in between.

In 2023, Cassatt attended the American Council of the Blind’s Audio Description Institute to integrate the vital art and advocacy of audio description into her practice. Under the direction of AD pioneer Joel Snyder, PhD, she learned to write and narrate AD for filmic media.

Beyond voiceover, Cassatt enjoys painting, embroidery, and taking analog pictures.

T. Cassatt is a voiceover artist and dilettante from North Carolina.

She received her formative dramatic training from the Gaiety School of Acting and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. The notion to pursue voiceover first came at the suggestion of her mentors, who imparted an ethos grounded in veracity and attention to nuance. Cassatt calls upon a musical childhood, having cut her teeth on choral performance, to inform a craft and career with the spoken voice. She has evolved her technique predominantly through the Linklater Method, as well as Fitzmaurice Voicework. She holds a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College and continued studies at the Brooklyn Institute for Social Research. Her background has inspired a keenness to narrate, inter alia, works of poetry, theory, and translation.
